REVEALED: Liverpool's 'CRAZY' fee for Brighton star
Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Alexis Mac Allister, and Spanish media claims to know how much the Reds will have to part with to get him.
The Brighton star has enjoyed a spectacular season, winning the World Cup with Argentina and then helping the Seagulls qualify for European competition. Unsurprisingly, this has attracted the interest of bigger Premier League sides.
Liverpool have, however, always been considered the favourites to land the 24-year-old and this likely won't change anymore seeing as though negotiations are already in the final stages, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian transfer expert has been reporting on this deal from the jump, claiming last week that the deal will be completed in June due to the special clause in Mac Allister's Brighton contract which comes into force in that month. Romano has, however, refrained from making any statements about how much Liverpool will actually have to pay to get their man. Spanish media now claim to know the fee involved.
€80 million?
Mac Allister has seen his stock rise spectacularly since the start of the season, with his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently peaking at €33.2 million. According to Fichajes, Liverpool will have to pay a fair bit more to buy the Argentine out of his Brighton contract.
The report claims that the Reds "would be willing to throw the house out the window with an offer of €80m." If true, Mac Allister would instantly become one of Liverpool's record signings, only bettered by the sums lavished on Virgil van Dijk and Darwin Nunez.
The 24-year-old is set to be the first of several summer arrivals in Liverpool's midfield department following the departures of James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and potentially even Fabio Carvalho.

The price tag and Jurgen Klopp's comments that Liverpool will definitely challenge for the Premier League again next season will certainly put some pressure on Mac Allister.
