Man Utd: David de Gea finally speaks out following West Ham howler

David de Gea has taken to social media following his howler against West Ham that led to Manchester United’s s defeat.

The Spaniard spilled Saïd Benrahma’s shot into the net despite the Hammers attacker hitting a weak effort.

The London side went on to win 1-0 - with De Gea’s mistake, and his future at the club, under the spotlight.

Man Utd have tabled a £200k per week deal for the Spaniard, with his deal up next month.

But De Gea has rejected those terms, in the hope of landing a higher salary. But supporters believe that his time is up and that Erik ten Hag, who is in his inaugural season as Red Devils boss, should look to other options for the goalkeeping department.

Recent reports have even come out, suggesting that terms are now agreed upon over a new deal and it’s a matter of the club announcing the contract on social media.

De Gea tweeted on Tuesday night, marking the first time he has spoken after the West Ham game, commenting on team-mate Christian Eriksen's recent accolade.

And Man Utd fans made their feelings clear about the veteran shot-stopper.
