‘Osimhen is UNPROVEN’ for Man Utd, blast Agbonlahor and Jamie O'Hara
Manchester United should not sign Victor Osimhen this summer because he is “not proven in the Premier League”.
That is the view of TalkSport pundits Gabriel Agbonlahor and Jamie O’Hara, who believe United should sign Harry Kane instead.
United are in the market for a top-class striker this summer, and Osimhen and Kane have been widely reported to be the top two names on their shortlist.

During a debate on TalkSport, Man Utd YouTuber Mark Goldbridge revealed that he preferred to sign Osimhen: “Harry Kane is world class but he’s just not my preference…it is Victor Osimhen.”
This prompted gasps from Agbonlahor and O’Hara.
Agbonlahor remarked: “He is not Premier League proven is he?”
This was followed by O’Hara sniping: “He’s not played in the Premier League.”

Osimhen has enjoyed a stunning 2022-23 season, scoring a brilliant 30 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions.
With 25 Serie A goals, he is the top scorer in the Italian top-flight as Napoli won their first Scudetto in 33 years.
He also struck five times in the Champions League as Napoli reached the quarter-finals before being beaten 2-1 on aggregate by AC Milan.
How much do Napoli want for Osimhen?
According to Il Mattino, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is demanding the third highest transfer fee in history in order to sell the Nigeria striker.
Only Kylian Mbappe’s €180m move to PSG and Neymar’s world record €222m transfer to the same club in 2017 surpass De Laurentiis’ request of over €150m for Osimhen.
De Laurentiis is said to want a bidding war to erupt between the interested parties, with PSG, Manchester United, Newcastle and Chelsea all interested.
He is expected to leave this summer together with defender Kim Min-Jae.
