Sam Allardyce has sensationally claimed that he is as good as Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta.

Allardyce surprisingly returned to football this week as manager of Leeds United until the end of the season.

The 68-year-old replaced the sacked Javi Gracia, who was axed after a disastrous run of form that left Leeds in danger of relegation.

Leeds are in seventeenth, one place above the relegation zone and only safe for now on goal difference.

Allardyce faces a tough task to save Leeds, with their first game this Saturday against Manchester City.

But former Bolton, West Ham and Blackburn survival specialist - famous for his long ball tactics - is not short of confidence about his ability.

What did Allardyce say?

"There's nobody ahead of me in football terms," Allardyce said.

"Not Pep, not Klopp, not Arteta.

"They do what they do, I do what I do. But in terms of depth of depth of knowledge, I am up there with them. I am not saying I am better than them, but I am as good as them."

Allardyce also infamously managed England for one game before he was sacked for allegations of malpractice.
