'DISASTROUS' Chelsea flop offered lifeline by Serie A giants
AC Milan are keen on freeing Christian Pulisic from his Chelsea misery, according to reports.
'Captain America' arrived at Stamford Bridge with plenty of hype following some outstanding seasons with Borussia Dortmund, but that fanfare proved to be misplaced. The USMNT star has struggled to recapture his Bundesliga form in the Premier League and this season has been a particular low point.
As revealed by the Athletic, the 24-year-old played fewer minutes in 2022/23 than Joao Felix and Jorginho, who arrived and departed respectively in January, and Edouard Mendy who lost his spot as Chelsea's starting goalkeeper in September. He finished the season with just one league goal and assist each.

The Blues already attempted to offload him last summer by including him in a swap deal for Rafael Leao but AC Milan rejected that approach, tying Leao down to a lucrative new deal since. Nevertheless, interest in Pulisic remains.
Captain America at the San Siro?
According to Fichajes, who call Pulisic a 'disastrous signing in all respects,' the Rossoneri are still looking at the 24-year-old as a potential option. With Brahim Diaz set to return to Real Madrid following the conclusion of his two-year loan at the San Siro, Milan are keen to bring in another creative attacker to fill that hole.
Indeed, the Athletic also reports that Milan remain a possible destination for him, though other Italian clubs are not out of the question. Napoli could look to Pulisic to potentially replace Hirving Lozano, while some rumours a few months ago claimed that Chelsea were ready to use the American as a makeweight to land Victor Osimhen.

Juventus are also a possibility, though interest from elsewhere in Europe will likely be sparse. The expectation is that Pulisic will depart Stamford Bridge this summer, but Chelsea's valuation of the American could see this saga drag on for a while as only a handful of clubs will be able (and willing) to pay more than €23 million for him.
