He’s being chased by Bayern Munich, but could Harry Kane make a shock move to Chelsea this summer instead?

The Tottenham striker is said to be building a new family home only 15 miles from the Blues’ training ground in Cobham, Surrey – prompting fresh speculation over his future.

Kane, 30, has just 12 months left to run on his Spurs contract, meaning that this could well be the transfer window when he finally moves on from the North London club – with whom he’s spent his whole career so far.

Would Tottenham really sell their talisman to their London rivals, though? You’d have to say it seems highly unlikely – especially given Daniel Levy’s refusal to accept substantial offers for Kane from another Premier League club, Manchester City, two summers ago.

Nonetheless, according to The Telegraph, Chelsea have been made aware of Kane’s apparent plans to move in down the road.

Despite such a transfer almost certainly being a non-starter, there is one obvious connection for Kane at Stamford Bridge: Mauricio Pochettino, his boss at Spurs for five-and-a-half years, is the new man in charge of the two-time European champions.

Where next for Kane? England? Germany? Or maybe Spain?

Right now, Bayern seems like the most likely destination for Kane should he leave Tottenham this summer.

The Bundesliga champions are expected to table a fresh bid for the England captain, having had their opening £70m (roughly €80m) offer – close to his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €89.8m (£77.4) – rejected by Spurs.

Manchester United have reportedly dropped their long-time interest in Kane amid concerns over his likely cost, while recent talk of a switch to Real Madrid has died down.
