The towering centre-forward has really burst onto the scene this year. First, he played a crucial role in The Gambia reaching the final of the U20 African Cup of Nations, then he struck twice in his country's U20 World Cup opener against Honduras.

Nicknamed the 'Gambian Hurricane,' the striker, who only recently turned 19, also stars for Steve Biko FC at the domestic level. Despite his tender years, he was already a regular back in 2021 and he scored the decisive brace in a win that sent his side into the Gambian first division.

Top European clubs have been keeping an eye on the imperious 191cm (6 ft 3 in) attacker all year, but the race to sign him is now really heating up.

A Premier League move?

Among Bojang's many suitors are a whole host of Premier League sides. According to the Evening Standard, Liverpool and Chelsea are just the two clubs with the biggest name. The likes of Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Wolves are also keeping a keen eye on the 19-year-old.

But he isn't only being linked with a move to England. The two German sides who recently featured in the DFB-Pokal final, Eintracht Frankfurt and winners RB Leipzig, are also in the mix, as are Ligue 1 surprise package RC Lens.

Marseille, Ajax and Napoli - unsurprisingly considering Bojang has been likened to Victor Osimhen - have also been linked to the striker at various times. The vice president of The Gambia's FA has previously stated that Bojang also has suitors in Egypt.

Wherever he ends up, he will be a bargain signing. The report cited above claims that Steve Biko FC have slapped a price tag of just €3 million on the precocious talent. He could be one of the signings of the summer.
