Chelsea could be about to take on Man Utd in the race to sign highly-rated Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The young Dane has been tearing it up in Serie A - leading many to compare him to Man City megastar Erling Haaland.

Man Utd have been strongly linked with a swoop for the 20-year-old hitman, but now renowned transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano has told Caught Offside that Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea are also monitoring the situation.

Hojlund is likely to cost around 60m with many of Europe's top clubs reportedly interested. It will not be an easy deal to complete, reports Romano.

Goalkeeper target REJECTS Pochettino advances

Pochettino has been dealt a blow in his pursuit of a new goalkeeper, according to French media.

The Blues have been keen on adding a starting-calibre shot-stopper to their squad for several months. Kepa Arrizabalaga has never been able to live up to his record-breaking price tag, while Edouard Mendy has similarly failed to be a consistently adequate replacement for his Spanish predecessor.

That man is AC Milan number one Mike Maignan, who has no interest in joining the Blues this summer, according to Footmercato.

Lukaku BOMBSHELL as massive deal turned down

Romelu Lukaku is STILL a Chelsea player after that Champions League final flop for Inter against Man City, and he might stay that way for some time yet.

Apparently the Belgian striker has been offered €18m per year by Al-Hilal to join the big-name exodus to the Saudi Pro League, but reports suggests he is likely to turn it down.

Lukaku reportedly wants to remain in Europe and continue his career in the big leagues, rather than join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in Saudi Arabia.

Turks wants host of Blues - including Christian Pulisic

Not often a club wants to take a host of underperforming stars off your hands, but that seems to be the case with Galatasaray and Chelsea right now.

Reports from Turkey suggest that Istanbul giants Gala are looking at a number of Blues stars as potential summer transfer targets.

Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk told Turkish television show TV100: “We have a lot of players that we want from Chelsea" while representatives of the club are reported to have been in London this week.

The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are on Gala's radar, along with American star Christian Pulisic.

Chelsea are looking to trim their squad after a massive transfer outlay in the last year and recouping some of the €64m they spent to acquire him in January 2019 from Borussia Dortmund.

Whether Galatasaray have the funds or the appetite to pay a large fee for Pulisic though is another matter.

Mount MISERY as Man Utd move close to collapse

Mason Mount may not be leaving Stamford Bridge for Man Utd this summer after all.

The midfielder has long been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford, with the deal apparently close a week or so ago.

But now - according to the Guardian - the whole thing may fall through thanks to Chelsea's asking price for the England man.

The Blues want at least €70 million for Mount - a fee United will not sanction with the player's contract due to expire next summer.
