Declan Rice to Arsenal & five STARS expiring in 2024 who will leave this summer
If a professional footballer has one year left on his contract, it usually means one of two things.
Either that player signs a new contract or his club look to sell him in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer 12 months later.
That is the situation every football club finds themselves in now for all players whose contracts are due to expire in 2024.

Below we look at five big stars whose deals expire in 2024 and could be sold this summer as a result.
Kylian Mbappe is the most high-profile superstar whose contract expires in 2024.
Mbappe recently told PSG that he doesn’t intend to trigger the option in his current contract of extending by a further year.

The attacker notified PSG in a written letter, which immediately sparked reports that the attacker will make his long-expected transfer to Real Madrid this summer.
Mbappe has stressed that he will see out the final year of his PSG contract and will not leave in 2023 but it is understood that PSG plan to sell him so they don’t lose him for nothing.
A transfer to Real Madrid, who can afford him, is thus very possible in the coming month or two.
Harry Kane is another world class striker whose future is very much in doubt this summer.
Kane would ideally like to leave Tottenham as, at the age of nearly 30, he realises this is his last chance to move while still at his peak.
Man Utd and Bayern Munich are both interested but as always Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will not be easy to do business with.
Another Englishman who will certainly leave this summer is Declan Rice. West Ham have chosen to sell Rice to avoid losing him for nothing in a year’s time.
Arsenal had two bids rejected before having a third at £100m plus £5m in add ons accepted by West Ham. Man City also placed a bid but have now left the race.
Mason Mount has also been tipped to leave this summer after contract renewal talks collapsed a few months ago and have never got going again.
Manchester United have already had bids rejected but are expected to come in for him again. New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is trying to convince Mount to stay and sign a new deal. If he doesn’t, Chelsea will certainly sell.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is linked with a big-money transfer to a big club almost every summer.
And this year he may finally make a move as his deal expires in 2024. Lazio president Claudio Lotito is said to have put a pricetag on SMS of a very affordable €30-40m.
Juventus and Inter are the two clubs at the head of the race to sign him but there is interest in the Premier League, also.
