Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch would jump at the chance to join Premier League giants Liverpool this summer, according to FootballTransfers’ information.

Netherlands international Gravenberch has endured a difficult season since leaving Ajax for FCB last summer in a deal worth just €18.5 million.

Regarded as one of the brightest midfield prospects in European football, he has seen his progress stall at the Allianz Arena after featuring 33 times for his new club, including a mere six starts.

FootballTransfers understands that Gravenberch remains very high up on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool shortlist for summer signings, with the former Borussia Dortmund boss eyeing a revolution in his midfield after a difficult 2022/23.

The Reds have already captured Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton but want to bolster their numbers further with at least one more high-quality purchase.

Klopp believes that the 21-year-old Gravenberch would be an excellent addition to his squad, which already contains fellow Netherlands internationals Cody Gakpo and Virgil van Dijk.

Meanwhile, the player is open to a move if a deal can be agreed between the clubs.

Despite a difficult season, Gravenberch is liable to move for a princely sum. FootballTransfers’ in-house algorithm gives the 21-year-old an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €51.9m, in part because he has a long contract with Bayern. His deal expires in 2027.

And the player has already opened the door to a transfer in an interview with ESPN.

Gravenberch’s Bayern threat

“I expected to play more minutes than I did. I thought I would get some more chances,” Gravenberch said.

“It’s about just wanting to play, that’s the most important thing at my age. I hope this can happen at Bayern Munich, otherwise we’ll just have to look further.

“I told everyone that I don’t want another year like that. Of course you can’t always be in the starting XI, but you can still play regularly, you can get a lot of minutes.”

Bayern, meanwhile, are adamant that Gravenberch will remain with the club and will get more minutes, suggesting that Liverpool could have a hard time having a transfer offer accepted by the Bundesliga champions.
