Man City star emerges as SHOCK Bayern target
Bayern Munich are considering making a surprise move for Manchester City's Kyle Walker, according to German media.
The right-back wasn't always Pep Guardiola's first choice last season, while injury also restricted his game time. With a year left on his contract, City appear open to the possibility of cashing in on the veteran defender.
Indeed, the Sheffield-born treble-winner has been linked with a summer return to his boyhood club, newly-promoted Sheffield United. Given his age, the 33-year-old shouldn't command a massive fee, making him a realistic target for the Blades.
There are, however, other potential suitors out there as well. One of them are Guardiola's former employers from Bavaria.

Walker to Bayern?
According to Sky Germany, there is concrete interest in Walker from Bundesliga champions Bayern. The German giants already did business with City for a full-back in January and they could do so again this summer.
Joao Cancelo had been on loan at the Allianz Arena from the Cityzens for the second half of the campaign just gone, playing a crucial role in Bayern winning their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title. Despite his contributions, the Bavarians have no interest in keeping him around permanently given City's asking price.

Instead, they could try to get his English counterpart in. Florian Plettenberg claims that Walker has been discussed as a potential option internally and there is a keen awareness at Bayern of the fact that he could be on the market this summer.
They are "monitoring him closely," according to the German journalist, but no official advances have as yet been made. City paid €52.7 million for him in 2017, but given his age, he could be relatively affordable in the present.
At 33, Walker now clocks in at an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €19.4m, having made 34 appearances for Guardiola in 2022/23.
