HUGE Man Utd transfer 'progressing quickly'
Manchester United's negotiations with Inter over an Andre Onana transfer are 'progressing quickly,' according to Italian media.
The Red Devils are searching for a new goalkeeper. David de Gea's limitations were painfully obvious last season as he struggled to come to grips with the ball-playing demands of Erik ten Hag's playstyle. Though still a more than capable shot-stopper, the Dutchman wants to bring in someone who fits his philosophy better.
Moreover, there is no guarantee that De Gea will still be a United player next season, a prospect that makes bringing in a new keeper a huge priority. The Manchester club want to keep the Spaniard around, but they reneged on their initial contract proposal and he will be a free agent come the start of July as things stand.

In light of this, the Red Devils have started to inquire about the possibility of signing Andre Onana, and this potential transfer is picking up steam at a rapid rate it seems.
United bid imminent
According to Di Marzio, the talks between Inter and United are 'progressing quickly.' Indeed, United's first official offer is expected to be submitted later today (June 30).
The report goes on to say that Inter's representatives are keen to get this deal over with in a speedy manner. "The Nerazzurri's agents hope it [the offer] will be in line with the asking price (€50 million plus bonuses) so that it will then be accepted."
REVEALED: Barcelona’s €100m Man Utd transfer rejection
This price tag could yet prove to be a stumbling block. Onana is definitely worth the money, having shone in the Champions League last season, but United are operating on a restricted budget due to the takeover uncertainty and Financial Fair Play regulations.
Signing Mason Mount for €70m and Onana for at least €50m could leave little wiggle room to bring in the striker Ten Hag so desires and the second midfielder he wants also wants to add, as we have exclusively reported.
