Romano reveals TRUTH over Man Utd and Real Madrid transfer target
Manchester United and Real Madrid both remain interested in Harry Kane but Fabrizio Romano has warned that Tottenham intend to do everything in their power to retain the England international forward.
Kane has one year left on his Tottenham deal and given their lack of competitiveness over the course of the last season, it is expected that the 29-year-old will push to make a move that might finally unlock the opportunity for him to win a major trophy.
The striker has been with Spurs since 2004, but while there have been a few near misses, Kane has never won a major honour.

With Man Utd and Real Madrid both set to enter the market for a No.9 this summer, the door could be open for England’s record scorer to join one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Romano, though, warns that any negotiations will likely take weeks to complete.

“Many people forget about Tottenham. I think Daniel Levy was very clear about how strong he is in the negotiations over Harry Kane a few years ago. He said no to a very big amount of money from Manchester City,” Romano explained on his YouTube channel.
“The feeling remains Levy will fight to offer Kane a new contract and he will try again to present the project with a new manager.
“After a disappointing season, Tottenham will try to give something positive to their fans by keeping Kane at the club.”
Real Madrid and Man Utd interest confirmed
Romano moved to confirm that Real Madrid and Man Utd are monitoring the situation and could be ready to take advantage of Kane’s vulnerable position.
“When a player has one year left on his contract, it’s a dangerous situation. It’s true that Real Madrid appreciates the player but there are no negotiations ongoing. Nothing is going to be imminent or fast for Harry Kane,” he added.
“There’s Real Madrid interest – for sure – and also Man Utd because they remain obsessed with Harry Kane in terms of being the perfect striker for Erik ten Hag, but they also know it will be difficult to negotiate with Tottenham.”
Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag is known to want his new signings ideally to be in place by the time pre-season begins on 27 June, but with the stalling takeover of the club, that may not be possible. Tottenham’s reticence to commit to a swift move for Kane, then, may actually play to their benefit.
