Man Utd Transfer News Today: Mount AGREES deal, STAGGERING Osimhen price set and van de Beek UPDATE
The Man Utd transfer news today kicks off with a much more upbeat message - Chelsea and England midfielder Mason Mount has AGREED a move to Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag has been chasing the 24-year-old all summer, and according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano he is now closing in on a massive deal.

Romano claims that Mount has now agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, leaving United to now agree a fee with Chelsea for the transfer.
Man Utd have already offered £40m and then £50m for Mount, whose contract expires next summer. Chelsea want £60m-£70m but it is likely a compromise will be found.

STAGGERING price set for Man Utd striker target Victor Osimhen
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is one of the hottest properties on the summer market after firing his team to their first Scudetto in 33 long years.
He is now a target for a host of Europe's top clubs - Man Utd included - after grabbing 26 goals in 32 Serie games in 2022-23.
But he come with a very expensive price tag, which we found out indirectly thanks to an enquiry made by French giants PSG.
Per Le Parisien, the Paris club was told it would take a staggering transfer fee of 180m to seal a deal for Nigerian star Osimhen.
Man Utd 'tell Kane to demand Old Trafford move'
Man Utd have reportedly told Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane to force the issue if he wants to move to Old Trafford this summer.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reportedly wants £100m for his star forward, but United will not sanction that outlay with only one year remaining on Kane's contract.
Unless Levy drops that price tag a deal appears impossible, and according to The Sun, United have told Kane he will need to make the move happen.
The report reads: "But in a final attempt to move things on, they [Man Utd] want Tottenham’s all-time top goalscorer to come out with a transfer request or strongly worded statement about his desire to leave for Old Trafford."
Man Utd £100m Rice bid is Arsenal's 'WORST NIGHTMARE'
Man Utd are reportedly set to put together a package worth £100m to prise England midfielder Declan Rice away from West Ham. According to Football London, this is Arsenal's 'worst nightmare'.
Up until now it appeared the Gunners were firmly in pole position to sign Rice, but now there are challengers with Man City also reportedly weighing up a bid.
Football London says the Man Utd development potentially gives West Ham exactly what they want, and what Arsenal don't want. A bidding war.
Erik ten Hag 'INFURIATED' by lack of Man Utd signings
Still no news of confirmed done deals or signings at Man Utd, despite so many players being linked with a transfer to Old Trafford. And apparently manager Erik ten Hag is growing more frustrated by the day.
The Mirror reports that the Dutchman is 'infuriated by the fact that takeover battle between Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe is hampering any transfer business.
It is reported that the current owners the Glazers will not sanction any major outlay with the club currently in that sale process.
Donny van de Beek considers Old Man Utd EXIT
Donny van de Beek has made just 34 Premier League appearances since joining Man Utd for £40m in the summer of 2020.
A mix of injuries and poor form have meant limited opportunities for the former Ajax star, and it appears his spell at Old Trafford is about to end.
Again per Romano, van de Beek is now considering his options and will explore possible moves in the coming weeks.
The update does stress that van de Beek loves Man Utd and he loves Erik ten Hag, who he played under at Ajax. But he wants first-team football and there are clearly no guarantees of that in M16 next season.
Man Utd 'make first contact' with Onana to replace De Gea
Man Utd are looking for a goalkeeper this summer with David De Gea apparently about to leave the club when his contract expires later this month.
One of the potential replacements for the Spaniard is Inter Milan's Andre Onana - another former Erik ten Hag player from his Ajax days.
The Mirror claims Man Utd have sounded out Onana about a move to Old Trafford, but the big stumbling block to any transfer will be Inter Milan's reported £50m asking price.
Harry Maguire still a Tottenham target as West Ham rumours swirl
We have reported all summer that Harry Maguire will be allowed to leave Man Utd should a suitable offer come in.
The rumours about his next destination have swirled in the last 24 hours, with talk of him being a possible makeweight in United's £100m swoop for West Ham midfielder Declan Race.
Don't rule out Tottenham though as suitors for Maguire - they remain interested in the England defender.
Man Utd monitor Xavi Simons situation ahead of potential bid
Another Dutch star in the news is PSV midfielder Xavi Simons, with a number of clubs reportedly monitoring his situation - including Man Utd.
Again according to Fabrizio Romano, Simons' former club PSG have a buy-back clause which actives on July 31 - allowing them to bring their former starlet back to Paris for just €6m.
Romano also says though that the decision on where he goes is down to Simons himself, with Man Utd, Arsenal, Brighton, Spurs, BVB and Leipzig also interested in a potential bid for the talented 20-year-old.
