Man Utd treble winners cost less in TOTAL than Jack Grealish
The Manchester United treble winners of 1999 cost less than what Manchester City paid for Jack Grealish.
In 2021, the Citizens broke the British transfer record by securing the England international from Aston Villa, at a cost of £100m.
The sum was broken by Enzo Fernandez’s move to Chelsea from Benfica last January, but it still ranks second, and City’s most expensive deal.

The club are now on for a treble, should they beat Inter in the Champions League final. The last British side to ever achieve this feat was Sir Alex Ferguson’s famous 1999 group.
Of course, Man City have spent big to get to this point, but what of Man Utd?
FootballTransfers has crunched the numbers and the amount that they paid for Grealish is more than what Ferguson paid to assemble his side from 24 years ago.
