A major reason why Rabiot stayed, according to our sources, is because he is happy in Turin and wanted to stay with the manager, Max Allegri, who helped him play the best season of his career in 2022-23.
Rabiot scored 11 goals and delivered six assists in 2022-23 and did not want to rock the boat given Euro 2024 takes place at the end of the coming season.
But Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Rabiot could have still joined Man Utd had they met his financial demands.
Indeed, Gazzetta reports that Rabiot’s mother and agent his mother and agent Veroniquedemanded a three-year contract worth €10m a season plus a huge signing on bonus of up to €10m also. So any deal would have cost Man Utd around €40m, despite there being no transfer fee.

This was deemed unacceptable from Man Utd, and Rabiot opted to sign a new contract with Juventus on the same €7m per season terms (plus bonuses) until 2024.
Rabiot close to joining Man Utd in 2022
This is the second time in less than a year that Man Utd have failed to sign Rabiot.
Rabiot was very close to joining Man Utd last year, with the 28-year-old locked in advanced negotiations with the Red Devils.
It is widely understood that Juventus and Man Utd agreed on a transfer fee worth €18 million plus €6m in add-ons.
All that was required to complete the move was for Rabiot to agree personal terms.
Subsequently, Man Utd refused to meet these salary demands and the transfer fell through.
