Chelsea get POSITIVE Caicedo update as Romano makes ‘100%’ revelation
Chelsea are finally nearing a transfer for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have been chasing the Ecuador international star since the January transfer window.
Chelsea had a bid for the 21-year-old rejected earlier this year and, after moving ahead of Arsenal into pole position to sign the South American, have been furiously trying to negotiate with Brighton a deal that will see the Seagulls release the midfielder.

The AmEx Stadium side, meanwhile, had agreed with Caicedo that he could be sold this summer after he reluctantly saw offers from Arsenal and Chelsea knocked back in the January transfer window.
Producing a bid that Brighton, who sold Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool at what many feel was a knockdown price due to a clause in his contract, find acceptable has been a challenge, however.

After weeks of talks, though, football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano says that there are signs that the Blues might finally achieve the resolution that they have long been searching for.
“Understand Moises Caicedo deal is now ‘moving’ between Chelsea and Brighton. The two clubs are discussing amount of fixed fee, £70m not enough,” he tweeted.
“Deal will 100% include add-ons.
“Negotiations continue to find a solution as soon as possible.”
Should a deal be struck, Caicedo would follow attackers Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson as Chelsea’s third major signing of the summer.
Chelsea have been one of the most active teams in the summer transfer window, with Nkunku and Jackson arriving at the club for close to a combined fee of €100 million.
The Blues, meanwhile, have been working hard to clear Mauricio Pochettino’s squad out, with Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovavic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and Ruben Loftus-Cheek departing for a total of nearly €210m.
On top of these players, Cesar Azpilicueta and N’Golo Kante lead a lengthy list of players to have been released on free transfers, while David Datro Fofana has joined Union Berlin on loan.
