Mane left Liverpool for Bayern Munich last summer in a £35 million move which has not worked out for the 31-year-old.

He scored just seven Bundesliga goals, having scored 16 in the Premier League the season prior.

Now, The Athletic are reporting that Mane’s representatives met with Al Nassr sporting director Goran Vucevic in Portugal to discuss a potential deal.

Al Nassr are looking to add the Senegal international to their star-studded squad which includes Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mane to leave Bayern?

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel was far from pleased with Mane's performances last season.

"He fell short of expectations," Tuchel said. "The competitive situation is extremely high, the starting position is not easy for him.

"The player knows that too, he knows my opinion and the opinion of the club."

And, according to various reports, Mane has since been informed that he is not a part of their plans for next season.

Besides a disappointing debut campaign, his salary is reportedly a huge issue, as he is currently their highest earner on an annual salary of €22m before tax.

The Bavarian club would accept a transfer fee of €20m from any interested parties this summer.
