Liverpool face hijack threat for midfielder from SHOCK clubs
Liverpool are keen on Fluminense star Andre, but they will face tough competition if they wish to get him.
The Reds are still trying to add depth to their midfield despite having already signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai for an eye-watering combined outlay of €112 million. Following a glut of departures in the centre of the park - with Jordan Henderson, controversially, being the latest and Fabinho expected to follow suit - more players must be signed if Liverpool want to compete this season.
Indeed, Jurgen Klopp has made no secret of the fact that he and sporting director Jorg Schmadtke are still trying to engineer more transfers. He recently reiterated the point by stating that "it's definitely important to strengthen in midfield. We have to do something, that is clear."

"We are working on solutions," the head coach continued. "First people want changes, now everyone is worrying about the changes. We are really optimistic about it. Excited as well."
While they are currently battling Chelsea for the signature of Southampton's Romeo Lavia, they face competition from other clubs for the signing of Andre.
Wolves, Fulham and Sporting also keen
The names in question aren't quite of the same calibre as Chelsea, however, and Portuguese media claims that Liverpool's financial might would see them come out on top, but the Reds must still be wary of the interest of Fulham, Wolves and Sporting CP in the Brazilian.
As we were able to confirm earlier in the week, Fulham are very keen indeed on the Fluminense prodigy and they would be prepared to pay over the odds to beat out the competition. Wolves and Sporting have now also emerged as potential destinations.

Any club, regardless of status - even the mighty Liverpool - would have to deal with the fact that the 22-year-old would only arrive in January in the event of a transfer. Fluminense, who are asking for at least €25m, have no intention of letting their star midfielder leave before the end of the Serie A season.
