Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are looking to sign Manchester City star Bernardo Silva this summer.

And ESPN are reporting that they are willing to offer the Portugal international close to £500,000 per week.

That equates to almost three times his current salary at the Etihad Stadium, despite City being one of the richest clubs in the world.

Silva is said to prefer a stay in Europe, to compete in the Champions League, but has not ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia.

Should he move to the Middle East, he would join the likes of N'Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly and Roberto Firmino, who have also left the Premier League in recent weeks.

What is Bernardo Silva’s transfer value?

FootballTransfers’ values Silva at €76.4 million, with only a handful of City players given a higher Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) than the former Monaco man.

There are only seven players in the 23-30 age range who have a higher transfer value than him.

And his value would be even higher if he were not a player already in the peak years of his career with just a couple of years left on his contract.

This is the result of years of consistently excellent performances, with Bernardo’s value having constantly topped €50m since January 2019.

Silva has admitted that he finds playing against packed defences “boring” at Man City, suggesting that he could be on the lookout for another opportunity in the summer, and that would certainly be to his club’s detriment based on his form.
