New Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana took only TWO minutes to lose his cool with centre-back Harry Maguire as the former Red Devils captain’s credibility took another hit in a 3-2 friendly loss against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
United were trailing 2-1 at half-time, when Onana replaced Tom Heaton. From the bench, he had seen Brandon Williams dive in mindlessly in the lead up to Donyell Malen’s opening goal, while Victor Lindelof’s failed attempt to play out from the back led to the Netherlands international completing a brace just seconds later.
Immediately after arriving on the field, Onana gave the defence an almighty shake, specifically targeting Maguire after sloppy play left Dortmund with a huge opening almost immediately after the restart.

Dortmund broke quickly down the Man Utd left, with Maguire being drawn out of position to allow a forward a clear shot at goal from the middle of the box.
Had it not been for Onana diving athletically to his left to make a fine save, BVB would have added to their tally.
In response, the €52.5 million signing from Inter Milan reacted furiously towards the centre-back. He ran towards him, shouting and gesticulating wildly with his hands.

For Maguire, this moment was another huge blow to his future at Man Utd.
Already stripped of the captaincy this summer, he is acutely aware that he is not a player who is favoured by manager Erik ten Hag, who dropped him below left-back Luke Shaw in the central defensive pecking order last season.
With David de Gea released at the end of his contract, Ten Hag has employed another of his favourite players, Onana, in goal, and the Dutchman is likely to value the opinion of his new goalkeeper. And clearly Maguire has not made the best first impression on the Cameroon international, who also played with him for 29 minutes in the defeat against Real Madrid.
