Man Utd takeover: Ten Hag set for Glazers US meeting
Erik ten Hag says Manchester United's pre-season tour will be a "good opportunity" to catch up with the US-based Glazer family ownership.
United got their trip to the United States off to the perfect start, beating Premier League rivals Arsenal 2-0 in New Jersey thanks to goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho.
New signing Mason Mount also featured, while Andre Onana has joined up with the squad following his €51 million arrival from Inter Milan - testament to the fact United have been busy in the transfer market despite the Glazers' continued ownership.

The siblings first invited bid for United last November but are yet to agree to a sale, despite Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, formerly the UK's richest man, both lodging bids of at least £5 billion.

Shifting transfer targets
The delay has held up any move for a top striker, with Harry Kane now more likely to move to Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur with the Red Devils shifting their focus to Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund.
Ten Hag is reportedly keen to take advantage of a rare instance that he and the Glazers will be in the same place at the same time, although he is agnostic about the club's sale.

"That's also a club decision," he said. "I'm more often in contact with them so this is a good opportunity to share ideas and we can talk informally. It is obvious I can give advice and recommendations but the decision is on the club."
United will need to sell players before they buy many more regardless of whom is in charge at the club, after they were left with a £120m budget this summer due to UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations - most of which has been accounted for by Mount and Onana.
