REVEALED: Man Utd's Onana deadline
Manchester United are in a race against time to finalise a deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana before they jet off to the United States of America for their pre-season tour.
The Cameroon shot-stopper is expected to join the Red Devils in the coming days and personal terms are expected to finally be agreed later today, according to The Athletic's Laurie Whitwell. Furthermore, a fee is close to being agreed upon between the two clubs.
However, Erik ten Hag wants Onana to be officially confirmed as a Man Utd player by Wednesday, the day they fly to the USA. That is because the Dutchman is pushing for Onana to accompany the squad on tour.

Despite the fact that a deal appears close, there are still a few hurdles to jump for Onana to be unveiled as Man Utd’s new number one. First, personal terms and the final fee must be signed off - two factors that look a case of when, not if - and secondly, Onana must complete his medical.
If his medical is completed on time, then Onana will travel with the Man Utd squad to the USA.
Furthermore, the Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella has confirmed that Onana’s move is expected to be closed by Monday and he will immediately travel to be part of Ten Hag’s squad when the move is finalised.

How much will Onana earn at Old Trafford?
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Man Utd are set to drastically reduce their wage bill by replacing De Gea with Onana.
The former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper was on a reported €438,000 (£375,000) per week deal at Old Trafford, making him the highest-earner at the club.
Pedulla has reported that Onana will sign a five-year deal worth between €6.5m (£5.55m) to €7m (£6m) per season.
That works out to be a weekly wage of between €125,000 (£107,000) and €134,000 (£115,000).
United will save roughly €16m (£13.5m) per year by swapping De Gea’s wages for Onana’s and they will have a better goalkeeper in between the sticks.
