Onana to Man Utd edges CLOSER as Inter open talks with his replacement
Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their bid to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan following reports that the Serie A giants have opened talks with Hugo Lloris.
Onana, 27, is set to join the Old Trafford side, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the deal could be completed by the end of next week.
Man Utd are yet to submit their final offer for the Cameroon shot-stopper, but the expectation is that he will become a Man Utd player by the end of the window.

In fact, the Premier League side want him to travel on their American tour, meaning a deal is likely to be struck soon, especially as personal terms have been agreed.
In addition, Man Utd have been given further confirmation that the move is nearing completion thanks to Inter’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur legend Lloris.
The French goalkeeper has just one year left on his deal in north London and following the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli, he is expected to depart this summer.

Lloris played just 25 Premier League games last season - the second-lowest of his entire Spurs career - and his seven league clean sheets in 2022/23 was also the second-lowest since he left Lyon in 2012. His injury-hit 2019/20 campaign was the only season in which he played less league games and kept less league clean sheets.
Inter target Lloris
According to French outlets L’Equipe and Foot Mercato, Inter are expected to make an official offer for Lloris having been engaged in informal talks with the 2018 World Cup winner for several weeks.
The 36-year-old has received contract offers from Saudi Arabia, while he has also reportedly rejected possible transfers to both Greek and Turkish clubs. Reports suggest that he will not rush to make a decision over his next club, which will likely be the last major move of his career.
In addition to Lloris, Anatoliy Trubin and Yann Sommer have also both been linked with Inter in recent days.
