Mount's dad calls Man Utd "HOME" days after Chelsea transfer
Mason Mount’s father, Tony Mount, has called Manchester United “home” just days after his son sealed a €70 million transfer to Old Trafford.
Mount, 24, has signed for the Red Devils from Chelsea, the club he joined at the age of just six.
The England international bid farewell to the Blues via a video posted on his Instagram account, but his goodbye message did not go down well with Chelsea fans - many of whom believe Mount’s contract demands led to his exit.

The player’s relationship with the Blues may have taken another backwards step following his father’s comments in a behind-the-scenes video posted by Man Utd’s official channel.
During the ‘Inside View’ video, Mount is accompanied by his father in the Old Trafford dressing room, who quietly says to the new Red Devils star: “Mason...this dressing room man....home mate, HOME. Who would have thought aye, when I brought you up here as a little boy,” which prompts a response of: “I know, special isn't it,” from the former Chelsea ace.

Mount at Old Trafford
Mount’s first visit to Old Trafford came back in 2008 and he witnessed Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous free-kick against Portsmouth from the away end of the ground. Mount grew up in Portsmouth and is a childhood Pompey fan, but joined the Chelsea academy in 2005, aged six.
Speaking to club media about Ronaldo's free kick, Mount said: "I was probably around 10, I was there in the away end, supporting my team Pompey and was able to witness that special moment."
Referencing a viral video of him as a youngster scoring a free kick, he added: "I think that video of me taking the free-kick was after that day."
In said clip, a young Mount declares that he tries to imitate Ronaldo's shooting technique. "I try to base my free kick on Ronaldo. Hit the ball by the valve and it moves. So what do you do? Top corner, top bins."
“It [Ronaldo's free kick} inspired me", adult Mount continued, "and seeing that moment at Old Trafford, in the away end, I was in awe of that situation and that iconic moment. I’d love to now replicate it."
The new Man Utd star could make his Red Devils debut on 12 July when Erik ten Hag's men face Leeds United in a pre-season friendly.
