Man Utd fans DEMAND player gets pay rise after Mount transfer
Manchester United have completed the signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea in a deal that represents their first major transfer of the 2023 summer window.
Mount arrives from the Blues for a fee of £60 million, with £5m of that figure tied up in potential bonus payments.
Given that the England international midfielder has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of £59m (€69m), that represents excellent business for Man Utd – particularly as the 24-year-old’s value should shoot up when he signs his new deal. At present, it is dipping because he only had one year left on his Chelsea deal.

Although there are questions over how Mount will fit into Erik ten Hag’s plans at Man Utd, fans of the Old Trafford side are delighted to see a new face through the door at a time when there was a threat no business would get done due to the stalling takeover.
Mount is a particularly welcome acquisition given that he was wanted by Man Utd’s Premier League rivals, with Arsenal and Liverpool both credited with an interest in the versatile midfielder.

Fans praise 'agent' Shaw for Mount transfer
Indeed, many fans of the club took to social media to praise the efforts of “agent” Luke Shaw in being the decisive figure in getting the transfer done.
Shaw and Mount have struck up what is clearly a strong friendship during their period with the England national team, and now fans want the left-back to be rewarded for his mate’s arrival with a new, improved contract.
“Agent Shaw deserves a pay rise after this. Taking Chelsea’s star boy thanks to him,” one Twitter user said.
Another posted simply: “Agent Luke Shaw.”

The welcome Mount has received from Man Utd’s fans has been overwhelmingly positive, with Red Devils apparently pleased that they have signed him over Arsenal-bound Declan Rice.
“Best English midfielder in the Premier League,” another added. “We don’t accept Rice cake frauds at United. Only the best. Welcome to Old Trafford, Mount.”
