Man Utd have FINALLY made their first official offer for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund - according to ace transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.
The 20-year-old Dane is the top forward target for Erik ten Hag with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen way too expensive for his limited summer budget.
And after weeks of speculation, United at last set the ball rolling on negotiations with the Serie A club, by tabling their first bid.

The offer from Manchester is €50m plus €10m in add-ons, a hefty sum but not likely to get the job done according to Romano.
Atalanta want more (in excess of €70m) and this saga is likely to run a little longer yet - just like the drawn-out process United underwent before finally acquiring goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter MIlan.
One positive note for the Premier League is Atalanta's purchase of Almeria striker El Bilal Toure from Almeria - clearly bought to replace Hojlund.
The big rival to United for Hojlund are French giants PSG - who are looking to offload their own star striker Mbappe.
Man Utd look to seal Amrabat deal with FRESH BID
Sofyan Amrabat wants to leave Fiorentina, he wants to join Man Utd. And Erik ten Hag wants the Moroccan in his new-look midfield.
All that is left now is for the Serie A club and the Red Devils to agree a fee, and that could be closer than it appears.
According to Corriere dello Sport, United are ready to table a bid of around €25m, which might be enough to close a deal.
Man Utd could price van de Beek out of Ajax reunion
Donny van de Beek could be priced out of a dream reunion with old club Ajax.
The midfielder has really struggled since his big-money move to Old Trafford, and is now seen a surplus to requirements.
A return to the Amsterdam giants has been reported in UK media, but it appears the price tag could be a major stumbling block.
Reports suggest that a payment of €23.3 million will be required to complete the deal.
Ajax know they will have to dig deep into their pockets in order to fix their broken squad, and that figure could be too much for sporting director Sven Mislintat. Nevertheless, their next step will be to find out how Van de Beek feels about returning to the club.
Ajax are not the only club keeping an eye on Van de Beek. Arch-rivals Feyenoord also have an eye on the now 26-year-old star.
In England, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are on the case, while Serie A sides Inter Milan, AS Roma and AC Milan have enquired about his availability. Europa League winners Sevilla, OGC Nice and Celtic have also been linked with him this summer.

Henderson TWIST could hit ten Hag transfer BUDGET
It's no secret that Man Utd are looking to ship players out to make way for the expected arrivals of Hojlund and Amrabat, and Erik ten Hag is desperate to bolster his transfer kitty to make that happen.
The news that goalkeeper Dean Henderson's expected move to Nottingham Forest may not be a permanent one will not therefore be music to the Dutchman's ears.
It's been reported that Forest are willing to pay £30m for Henderson, but new information suggests a loan with an obligation to buy is now being mooted.
This would not of course help ten Hag with his plans THIS SUMMER, as he looks to retool his squad.
One United star has already left Manchester for Nottingham this summer - Swedish striker Anthony Elanga joined Forest this week for a reported fee of £15m.

The Man Utd takeover saga has been rumbling on for eight months now, and it shows zero sign of ending any time soon.
The fanbase is hugely impatient to get the acquisition done and get the Glazers out of Old Trafford. It would of course also help Erik ten Hag with his summer transfer plans.
That does not seem likely though with the American owners continuing to ponder which bid to offer - the one from English billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe or the one from Qatar's Sheikh Jassim.
Respected football finance expert Kieran Maguire told Football Insider: “The behaviour of the Glazers is of no surprise in terms of silence followed by silence.
“The lack of progress in the deal has certainly frustrated the camps of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim.
“We are starting to see a drop in the share price as every day goes by without any news."
