Napoli boast that Man Utd ‘can’t afford €200m Osimhen’
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has boasted that only PSG can afford to sign Victor Osimhen this summer.
De Laurentiis has placed an astronomical €200 million price tag on Osimhen’s head, a price that certainly now rules out Manchester United.
What did De Laurentiis say about Osimhen?

“The only club that can afford to take Osimhen away from us is Paris Saint-Germain,” De Laurentiis told Sport Mediaset.
“So if Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to take out 200 or so, then we will wait and evaluate.”
Manchester United had shortlisted Osimhen as one of their top two striker targets this summer, together with Harry Kane.

But both players are now seemingly out of Man United’s financial reach, with Tottenham also demanding a three-figure sum for Kane.
Napoli are also in talks to extend Osimhen’s contract.
According to Nicolo Schira, Napoli have offered Osimhen a new deal until 2027 with a big salary increase to €6.5 million per season plus bonuses.
A minimum fee release clause could also be inserted into the contract but it will not be valid until July 2024.
Osimhen enjoyed a stunning 2022-23 season, scoring a brilliant 31 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.
With 26 Serie A goals, he finished the top scorer in the Italian top-flight as Napoli won their first Scudetto in 33 years.
He also struck five times in the Champions League as Napoli reached the quarter-finals before being beaten 2-1 on aggregate by AC Milan.
Osimhen’s absence due to injury in the first leg has been cited as a key reason why Napoli lost the tie.
