Man Utd LEAVE player in Edinburgh after Lyon friendly
Manchester United’s pre-season preparations continued on Tuesday as they defeated Ligue 1 side Lyon 1-0 thanks to a goal from Donny van de Beek early in the second half of the encounter, which took place in Edinburgh at Murrayfield.
Manager Erik ten Hag deployed a team that was a mix of youth and experience, with sole summer signing Mason Mount starting in the midfield.
In the second half of the match, particularly, Ten Hag gave some Man Utd youngsters the opportunity to impress, with the likes of Daniel Gore, Marc Jurado, Isak Hansen-Aaroen and Omari Nathan Forson all getting game time.

Another to play was Will Fish – who is set to be left in Edinburgh as the Old Trafford side are set to send the 20-year-old defender on loan to Scottish Premiership side Hibs for a second time, with the Herald reporting a deal is close.
The England U19 centre-back was a big favourite at Easter Road after making a season-long loan move last September, and that deal is set to be replicated this time around after the Manchester-born youngster got game time against Lyon, featuring in a defence that did not concede a shot on target throughout the game.
Fish has not been named in Man Utd’s squad for the tour of the USA and had previously been reported to have agreed to a second loan spell at the Edinburgh side.

Hibs manager Lee Johnson has already admitted that talks are ongoing over the player.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Wednesday, he said: “We’re still looking to get Will through. Obviously he’s a Manchester United player but we’re here, waiting, and ready. We’re in constant contact with Will and United and their needs come first at the moment in terms of their pre-season fixtures but we hope to get him here as soon as possible.”
With Fish’s involvement in Man Utd’s pre-season plans apparently at an end, his loan transfer to Hibs is now set to step up.
