Reporter Ben Jacobs has spoken about how the midfielder is becoming frustrated that a move to the Blues is not concluded yet.

The long-standing target of Chelsea is set to return to Brighton ahead of the new season with personal terms already verbally agreed with Mauricio Pochettino’s club.

Chelsea are hopeful of concluding a price of around £70million plus add-ons but so far a deal is not agreed upon between both them and Brighton.

Brighton have not yet offered Chelsea a specific fee but do know that they will be losing Caicedo this summer window.

It is thought that the Ecuadorian is valued at around £100m by Brighton but the south-coast club have not informed Chelsea of that.

Caicedo open to all offers

FootballTransfers revealed last week that Caicedo is open to all offers despite the constant links with a move to Chelsea.

The midfielder is searching for a way out of Brighton and is considering all options, while we understand Liverpool remain keen on the youngster, especially as Fabinho and Jordon Henderson have been subject to offers by clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Romeo Lavia remains a target for Liverpool

Liverpool are still searching for a midfielder to come in on top of their squad already, with Romeo Lavia thought to be the biggest target.

But if the likes of Henderson, Fabinho, and even Thiago, linked to Barcelona, do end up leaving then it means that the side would not only be short in supply in that area of the pitch, but they would have a boost in their transfer kitty for this summer window.
