Confirmed Tottenham transfer target ABSENT as rumours build
Tottenham could be ready to add to the €136 million they have spent on the transfer market this summer, with the signs from Colombia hinting that they may be closing in on a player they have been monitoring for some time.
Spurs are presently in the midst of a transitional period, with new manager Ange Postecoglou seeking to put his stamp on the team all while rumours over Harry Kane’s future persist.
One of the areas that they are known to be seeking to strengthen is in goal, where Hugo Lloris and Fraser Forster are both out of favour. Guglielmo Vicario has arrived from Empoli for a fee of €20 million – but might Spurs be on the cusp of another deal for a shot-stopper?

Back in the spring, Tottenham sacked scout Jeff Vetere for conducting an interview with WinSportsTV in Colombia in which he confirmed that Spurs were watching Atletico Nacional goalkeeper Kevin Mier and were “very impressed” with him.
“I went to Medellin to watch the Nacional game at the weekend. I was very impressed by the goalkeeper because of his attributes. He's young. He was born in 2000, so he's just 22,” he revealed at the time.

Kevin Mier: injured or leaving?
Now it is believed that Mier may just be getting his move after he has not been picked for Atletico Nacional’s last two matches.
Officially, he has been out injured with a stomach muscle injury, but there is a suggestion in Colombia that the reason he has not been picked is because there are negotiations over a transfer going on in the background.
Tottenham aren’t the only club to have taken an interest in Mier, with reports that several Portuguese sides have also been impressed by the 23-year-old, too.
However, it is stressed that no official offer has been tabled for the Colombia U23 international.
Atletico Nacional face Racing Club in the Copa Libertadores in midweek, and if Mier is absent once more, speculation will only build.
