Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney is set to join Real Sociedad on a loan basis, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the transfer with his 'here we go' catchphrase.
Tieney has long been a favourite of the Arsenal fans thanks to his wholehearted attitude but the Scotland international does not fit into the style that manager Mikel Arteta is trying to implement and has fallen out of favour at the Emirates.
Arteta made it clear that he no longer wanted the former Celtic player in the opening two Premier League matches of the season, in which Tierney was not stripped for either game.

Seeking game time, the 26-year-old has left for Real Sociedad, who will play Champions League football next season.
All that is required for the deal to be completed is for Tierney to pass his medical and the documents to be exchanged by the clubs. He has already agreed to the move.

The terms of Tierney’s loan are revealed in greater detail by The Athletic, which reports that there is no buy option in Real Sociedad’s offer but the club that finished fourth in LaLiga last season will cover the player’s wages and will also pay a fee to Arsenal.
It is expected that the transfer will be completed over the weekend.
Tierney at Arsenal
Tierney joined Arsenal in 2019 for €27 million and has gone on to play 124 matches for the Emirates club.
His progress at the Gunners, though, has been interrupted by persistent injury problems and he fell to second choice in the left-back slot last season when Arteta elected to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.
He has earned 38 caps for Scotland, scoring one goal, and has shown a capability of playing full-back on either side of the field as well as a left-sided centre-back in a three-man defence.
Tierney is part of an ambitious transfer window from Real Sociedad that has also seen them closely follow Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.
