Ansu Fati has decided to quit Barcelona before the end of the summer transfer window, prompting interest from the Premier League, where Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are all credited with an interest.

Ansu had previously been adamant that he would not leave Camp Nou, but after being left on the bench by Xavi in last weekend’s scoreless draw with Getafe on the opening day of the LaLiga season, he has had a change of heart.

The 20-year-old had his first-team opportunities limited last season but had been promised more exposure this time around following the departure of Ousmane Dembele.

However, Xavi’s snub has prompted him to take action, according a report in AS.

Fati had previously been considered the heir to Lionel Messi at Barcelona, but after a serious knee injury has not returned the same player. Indeed, it is Lamine Yamal who Barca appear to have pinned their hopes on, with the 16-year-old winger preferred off the bench to Ansu at the weekend, prompting his decision to depart.

On top of Yamal, Ansu is also competing with Raphinha, Ferran Torres and Gavi for game time.

Ansu Fati to the Premier League?

Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs could all come into the transfer equation given that each needs offensive reinforcements.

The Gunners are known to be looking for another attacker, and the Ansu would appear to fit the style of football that Arteta wishes to play.

Similarly, Tottenham are in need of offensive reinforcements following the transfer of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, although Ansu is wide player and not a centre-forward.

Manchester United are also in the market for another attacker, but like Spurs could most use a No.9, despite having signed Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.
