Chelsea set HUGE asking price for Spurs Deadline Day target
Chelsea have set an asking price of at least £45 million for Tottenham transfer target Conor Gallagher, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Gallagher was expected to leave this summer, especially after the signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, but he has worked his way into Mauricio Pochettino's plans.
The Englishman has started the Premier league campaign well and even captained the side to victory in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

However, Gallagher is now subject to interest from Ange Postecoglou's Spurs side, who have impressed thus far.
And the 23-year-old would be an asset to the Australian's high energy system if he were to sign.
But, how likely is that to happen on Deadline Day?
Gallagher to Tottenham?
Gallagher may have forced his way into Pochettino's plans recently but every player has a price.
Gallagher's has reportedly been set at £45m and, if that were to be met, he would surely be sold to Tottenham, despite the clubs' rivalry.
Was told earlier that Gallagher was pulled from a club commercial shoot today.
2 reasons for that, either the player is about to leave or it’s personal reasons.
Let’s see what happens. Poch really likes him, but a big bid would defo tempt https://t.co/FE7XcWpaaA— Felix (@FelixJohnston_) August 31, 2023
The Blues have spent more than £1 billion since their takeover last year, so £45m for an academy graduate would be too good to trun down.
That's especially true because the sale of academy graduates goes down as pure profit, given it did not cost the club a transfer fee to sign them.
This is the type of business, similar to Mason Mount's sale to Manchester United, that can keep Chelsea from breaking Financial Fair Play regulations.
A quality player, undoubtedly, Gallagher could be sent on his way to Spurs for financial reasons as supposed to sporting ones.
