'FAKE NEWS!' - Gerrard rubbishes Greenwood Saudi links
Al-Ettifaq coach Steven Gerrard has launched an emphatic denial of reports that his side is looking to bring Mason Greenwood to Saudi Arabia.
Greenwood, 21, is now obliged to seek another club after Manchester United confirmed that the two parties would be parting ways.

The striker has been suspended since January 2022 after allegations of sexual and physical assault emerged against him.
But according to Gerrard, those rumours are baseless.
No truth to Al-Ettifaq links
"Fake news," the ex-Liverpool star wrote on his personal Instagram account above a picture of one of the articles linking Greenwood to his Saudi Arabian employers.
Per the Daily Mail, Greenwood was in line to receive an offer worth £10 million a year to play in the Middle East, and join Jordan Henderson, Jack Hendry and Moussa Dembele this summer at the Pro League club.
Turkish Super Lig club Istanbul Basaksehir, Roma - coached by Greenwood's former manager Jose Mourinho - and other clubs in Saudi Arabia have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the forward.
United, meanwhile, have been urged to donate any transfer fee they receive due to the circumstances of his departure.
