Harry Kane's Tottenham-Bayern transfer ultimatum
Harry Kane has told Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich to thrash out a deal by the end of this week or he will be staying put.
England captain Kane has emerged as Bayern's top transfer target this summer, and while Tottenham would be loath to lose him, getting in the region of £100 million for him this year could be preferable to losing him for nothing next.
But Kane's fee is the problem. Tottenham want at least £100m while Bayern have bid €100m - a club record amount for them but one than still converts to about €85m in Euros, €15m short of Spurs' asking price.

'Decision by the end of the week'
"Harry Kane's camp has informed Bayern and Tottenham of [the] player's preference in terms of timing: decision on the deal has to be by the end of this week," tweeted transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
"Kane doesn't want to move after [the] start of Premier League football on Sunday. [It's] up to Bayern and Daniel Levy, again."

Kane wasn't named in Tottenham's squad for their final pre-season friendly against Barcelona in Camp Nou on Thursday night with negotiations ongoing, but he has expressed his satisfaction at Ange Postecoglou's training sessions since the former Celtic boss became manager.
It is understood that if he is named in the squad against Brentford, Kane won’t be going anywhere, and Tottenham remain optimistic that they could persuade him to extend his contract once the season is underway.
Kane has Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League goal record in his sights, but Bayern have sold the prospect of winning trophies to Kane - not just the Bundesliga but also, potentially, the Champions League, which they last lifted in 2020.
