Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, has constantly shot down the rumours linking his client with a move to the Pro League - but now further reports have gathered pace.

Ittihad Jeddah vice president Ahmad Essam Kaaki has started following Salah on Instagram, which made the speculation much more intense.

Salah had signed a new three-year contract with Liverpool in July 2022 worth around £350,000 per week after months of negotiations but that has not stopped the reports flying around Salah and his future at Anfield.

Liverpool midfield woes

Liverpool have gone into their new season short of players - the club sold Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to the Saudi Pro League when they needed further midfield reinforcements.

They failed to ensure the signing of Moises Caicedo, who left Brighton for Chelsea. While Romeo Lavia is another who they look set to miss out on.
