Liverpool to ‘PUSH’ for Man Utd transfer target
Liverpool seem set to step up their pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, who is also a target for Manchester United.
The Dutch international has been linked with a switch to the Premier League throughout the summer, having endured a miserable time of things at Bayern.
And with the transfer window slamming shut just a matter of days from now, there could finally be some movement.
EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool list Jarrod Bowen as Mohamed Salah replacement
According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport in Germany, there is a sense that Liverpool “could push” for Gravenberch with deadline day looming.
Plettenberg adds that the 21-year-old is on alert for “concrete offers” as he eyes regular football – something he looks unlikely to get at Bayern under Thomas Tuchel.
Indeed, since joining Bayern from Ajax last summer – under Julian Nagelsmann then Tuchel – Gravenberch made just six starts in all competitions, with 22 of his 25 Bundesliga appearances coming as a substitute.

The final piece in Liverpool’s midfield puzzle?
Liverpool have undergone a full midfield revamp this summer, spending £113.1m (€132m) to bring in Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szboszlai and Wataru Endo from Brighton, RB Leipzig and Stuttgart respectively.
All three signings started Sunday’s dramatic 2-1 win away to Newcastle, but the Reds are still lacking in depth in the middle of the park – and Gravenberch could provide Jurgen Klopp with another quality option in that department.
Our in-house Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) model currently values the 6-foot-3 technician – who has drawn comparisons with former Man Utd man Paul Pogba – at €49.1m.
However, given that he seems very much surplus to requirements at the Allianz Arena, it’s hard to see Bayern generating that kind of fee for Gravenberch – who they signed for €18.5m.
