Antony hits new Man Utd LOW as fans call for SHOCK change
Manchester United star Antony has hit a new low at the club as fans suggest he should be converted to play left-back in order to cover for Luke Shaw’s recent injury lay-off.
Shaw, 28, has suffered a muscular injury and is set to be sidelined for several weeks, according to David Ornstein, with the Red Devils hoping the injury will keep him out for weeks, not months.
Following news of Shaw’s injury, several United fans have suggested that Antony could be used in that position after his struggles at the start of the new campaign.

The Brazil international was signed for €95 million last summer as Erik ten Hag raided his former club Ajax following his appointment as Man Utd boss.
He scored four goals and provided two assists in a disappointing first Premier League campaign that saw him rack up 25 league appearances for the Red Devils.
The 23-year-old notched eight goals and three assists in all competitions - averaging a goal contribution every 283 minutes of action in his debut Man Utd campaign.

This season, Antony has borne the brunt of much of Man Utd’s poor form so far, with fans suggesting he is undeserving of a starting berth at Old Trafford.
Furthermore, he has now fallen even further in fans’ estimations, with many of the Man Utd faithful touting the Brazilian for a position change after his poor showings at right-wing and their injury issues at left-back.
Back-up left-back Tyrell Malacia is also injured, meaning Ten Hag may be forced to use Lisandro Martinez or Diogo Dalot on the left of his back-four.
However, Man Utd fans on Twitter have suggested that Antony should be the player the Dutchman turns to at left-back, despite the fact he has played his entire career on the right flank.

Uno what, United fans might get onto me but Antony could cook at LB🤔

Hear me out, Antony at LB makes sense than Dalot at LB.
We always complain that he cannot take on players and likes passing back so he might suffice in defence.
Also, he can easily invert due to his left foot, hence easily connecting (typical-Eriksen) with the midfield. #MUFC pic.twitter.com/Qre8qiqe3t— Kenneth Murray 🌊🌊💚 (@kennethvifah77) August 25, 2023
Hear me out. Antony at left back

Antony at left-back is an option worth considering for Manchester United. Allow him to advance forward with Aaron Wan-Bissaka staying back at right-back.

Play Antony LB, he's useless offensively anyway.
