Man Utd will consult members of their women's team before making a final decision on the future of forward Mason Greenwood.

It had been thought the Red Devils would rule on whether the 21-year-old stays at Old Trafford or goes before Monday's Premier League opener vs Wolves. Not any more though.

According to the BBC, United want to talk to stars from their women's squad, who are still away at the World Cup Down Under.

As a result it is not now known when the issue will finally be resolved.

Fred joins Fenerbahce in Amrabat BOOST

Man Utd moved a step closer to being able to swoop for Sofyan Amrabat when Fred completed his move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

According to ace transfer report Fabrizio Romano, Fred has completed his move to Istanbul for a total package of €15m including add-ons.

The fee for Fred represents a massive loss on the €59m United paid to sign him from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2018.

Man Utd make Bayern ace Pavard a transfer PRIORITY

Manchester United will prioritise signing Bayern Munich's Benjamin Pavard after being told they will have to stump up £40 million to land Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba.

FootballTransfers understand that the club will look to bring in a right-sided central defender following the imminent exit of Harry Maguire to West Ham for around £30m.

Erik ten Hag wanted Kim Min-jae but the 26-year-old eventually signed for Bayern Munich as his camp was not prepared to wait for Man Utd to make enough player sales to bring him to Old Trafford. As revealed, Pavard remains high on the list as Ten Hag enjoys using players who can operate either in the middle or on the flank of a backline.

Pavard is keen on the move and wants to leave Bayern Munich to play more regularly as a centre-back, while the Frenchman has just a year left on his contract, meaning he would be among the cheapest options for Man Utd, who are also looking to bring in another striker.

Other names wanted include Jean-Clair Todibo of Nice and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, the latter of which enjoyed a superb campaign for PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie last term.

Man Utd to PAY Maguire to leave

Man Utd may be forced into making a pay-off of as much as £10 million to push through Harry Maguire’s move to West Ham after agreeing to sell the defender.

United struck a deal worth £30m with the Hammers after initially rejecting bids of £20m as well as a joint proposal for both Maguire and Scott McTominay.

Maguire will now travel to London for talks and personal terms are not expected to be an issue, with West Ham boss David Moyes’ admiration for the England international thought to be a key selling point.

However, Maguire will likely be forced into taking significantly lower wages than his salary at Old Trafford, with the 30-year-old still having two years remaining on his current deal worth a reported £190,000-per-week.

West Ham’s highest earner, by comparison, is understood to be Lucas Paqueta on roughly £150,000-per-week and Maguire is expected to be offered a long-term contract with a weekly wage of £100,000.

The drop off for the remainder of Maguire’s United contract would be a total of just under £10m and Erik ten Hag’s side could compensate the former club captain in order to complete the transfer, according to the Daily Mail.

Man Utd offload star Kovar

With just a few weeks left in the transfer window, Manchester United are busy finalising outgoings in a bid to raise funds for more signings.

The first exit of what is bound to be a massive clear-out is all but done, according to German media and Fabrizio Romano. Back-up goalkeeper Matej Kovar is on his way to Bayer Leverkusen for €9 million, reports Kicker.

The Czech came through the Man Utd youth system after being signed as a teenager, but the now-23-year-old has never managed to get on the pitch for the senior team in a competitive fixture. After loan stints at Swindon, Burton and Sparta Prague, with whom he won the Czech league last term, Kovar is heading to the Bundesliga to link up with Xabi Alonso.
