Harry Maguire has been left feeling 'insulted' by West Ham's 'low-ball' offer, according to a report.
The former Manchester United captain is the protagonist of one of the most drawn-out transfer sagas of the summer. Will he stay or will he go? Nobody seems to know for sure.
Erik ten Hag is clearly not keen on Maguire and there has been a constant stream of reports linking the Englishman to a departure. Nothing has as yet materialised, however, and the player is reportedly unwilling to simply walk away from his lucrative Man Utd contract.
Still the world's most expensive defender - though not for much longer - the 30-year-old wants to fight for his place, but this is evidently an exercise in futility because he has not done enough to convince Ten Hag.

West Ham United are plotting a double swoop for Maguire and Scott McTominay, but the former is apparently not keen on the move.
Maguire feels insulted
That is at least according to West Ham blog Claret & Hugh, which writes: "Harry Maguire is said to feel 'insulted' by our supposed low £20 million offer, Manchester United insiders have told Claret&H."
“It’s not just United who think West Ham’s current offer is low-ball," the 'insider' in question told them, "Harry sees other players moving for far bigger sums, without half his experience and pedigree."

“He knows," the report continued, "United want him out and may be bluffing over his price, but even Harry thinks he is worth more than £20m – especially to someone like David Moyes who needs a centre-half in quickly and knows he is road-tested in the Premier League."
United are said to be holding out for £35m, though many feel this to be an unrealistic valuation. Maguire's Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently sits at €23.5m.
