Man Utd reject WORLD-RECORD transfer bid
Manchester United have rejected a world-record approach for goalkeeper Mary Earps following her performances at the Women’s World Cup, which saw her claim the Golden Glove award.
Earps has regularly appeared in the media over the course of the last month due to her battle with Nike over sales of her replica shirt, but the 30-year-old has also attracted interest in the transfer market for her performances with England as they reached the World Cup final before being defeated 1-0 by Spain.
Sky Sports reports that Man Utd Women turned down an offer from an unnamed club for the goalkeeper.

It is claimed that the sum offered to the Red Devils was a world-record sum for a women’s goalkeeper. This figure presently stands as €115,000, which San Diego Wave paid for Canadian goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan when they signed her from Gotham in 2021.
The Old Trafford side have knocked this back, though. Instead, they want Earps, who is under contract until 2024, to extend her deal with the club as they consider her to be the best female goalkeeper in the world and a key member of their team going forward.
She has played every minute of WSL football in four seasons for Man Utd since arriving from Wolfsburg in 2019.
Man Utd took a similarly strong stance over Alessia Russo previously, but the England international ultimately left on a free transfer to join Arsenal in what was a high-profile transfer.

Man Utd seeking to improve their women’s side
Manchester United Women are doing all they can to strengthen after finishing second in the WSL, and retaining Earps is a major part of that.
They have also added Brazilian forward Geyse to their ranks from Barcelona and Sky Sports reports that they have their eyes set on further bolstering their squad before the transfer window for the WSL closes on 14 September.
