'Happy we SOLD him' - Mount BLASTED after Man Utd Premier League debut
Andre Onana and Mason Mount made their Premier League debuts for Manchester United on Monday night, but while one starred, the other was blasted on social media.
Expectations of Man Utd are sky-high following a summer of big spending as Erik ten Hag's revolution continues. Yet, in what was the final fixture of matchday one of the new Premier League season, good performances from United were few and far between.
Though they did prevail and keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Wolves thanks to a Raphael Varane goal, fans weren't necessarily delighted about what they saw. While Andre Onana cut a composed figure on his Premier League debut, ex-Chelsea man Mason Mount - who set United back €64.2 million - was annihilated on Twitter, having failed to create a single chance.
Rasmus Hojlund did not yet feature as he is still nursing an injury. United are still trying to get some more business done, but Erik ten Hag's biggest concern will be improving the players he already has at his disposal and whipping them into title-challenging shape.

Tough but Mason Mount isn't really worth 55m English pounds. There, I said it. pic.twitter.com/D06iaO5uou

Words cannot express how happy I am that we sold Mason Mount

Bruno and Mount don’t work together. We completely got cut through too easily. We need to Amrabat/Onana to our midfield

I wanna know who at United actually thought that a Mount-Casemiro-Bruno midfield was a good idea
