Man Utd star SOLD as HUGE clearout begins
With just a few weeks left in the transfer window, Manchester United are busy finalising outgoings in a bid to raise funds for more signings.
The first exit of what is bound to be a massive clearout is all but done, according to German media and Fabrizio Romano. Back-up goalkeeper Matej Kovar is on his way to Bayer Leverkusen for €9 million, reports Kicker.
The Czech came through the Man Utd youth system after being signed as a teenager, but the now-23-year-old has never managed to get on the pitch for the senior team in a competitive fixture. After loan stints at Swindon, Burton and Sparta Prague, with whom he won the Czech league last term, Kovar is heading to the Bundesliga to link up with Xabi Alonso.

More deals are bound to be announced in the coming days as Erik ten Hag is keen to flush some cash into United's coffers so as to allow them to go for midfield target Sofyan Amrabat and a proper Harry Maguire replacement, either Jean-Clair Todibo or Benjamin Pavard, who is the favoured option, as FootballTransfers has exclusively revealed.
Man Utd's clearout
Erstwhile captain Maguire is on his way to West Ham in what will be a lucrative deal for United. Midfielder Scott McTominay could follow suit as he is also being courted by David Moyes and company, though the Red Devils rejected the Hammers' first offer for the Scot.
Fred, who had been in negotiations with Galatasaray for weeks, will now sign for hated rivals Fenerbahce instead. Donny van de Beek is currently in talks with Real Sociedad over a potential loan with an option to buy. The Dutchman is keen, but an agreement between the clubs has not yet been reached.

Finally, Eric Bailly is reportedly close to joining Besiktas, while Dean Henderson is still pursued by Nottingham Forest despite them having just signed Matt Turner from Arsenal.
