Rasmus Hojlund’s Man Utd shirt number leaked by Romano

Rasmus Hojlund was presented as a Manchester United player on Saturday prior to the 3-1 friendly victory over Lens – but while the striker was announced as the newest Red Devil, it was notable that the shirt he paraded was without a number.
Man Utd fans wanting to get a shirt printed with Hojlund’s name on the back would have been left disappointed by the situation, but Fabrizio Romano has stepped up to reveal what squad number the Denmark international will wear next season.
Romano has strongly hinted that Hojlund will wear the No.17 shirt, which indicates that Fred will be on his way. Replying to a tweet about the player's presentation, he offered a reply of "17" with a Denmark flag.

Indeed, the transfer specialist has offered a 100% guarantee that the Brazil international midfielder will be sold – although his destination is unclear given that Fulham and Galatasaray have pulled out of the bidding and Lazio have distanced themselves from a move.
Hojlund will be the player to benefit from the South American’s departure, though.

What is Hojlund’s squad number?
Hojlund will regain the No.17 jersey that he has worn at Atalanta over the course of the last season.
Ironically, a small injury that he picked up in preseason and threatens to keep him out for the first few weeks of the season has played into Man Utd’s hands here. It means that they have not had to hurry to announce his jersey and have given them time to furnish him with the shirt number he wants by finding a buyer for Fred without causing the Brazilian the embarrassment of being publicly stripped of his jersey before leaving Old Trafford.
It is unclear when Hojlund might make his Manchester United debut, but when he does, he will have the No.17 on his back if Romano’s hint is anything to go by.
