Man Utd and Liverpool target Gravenberch provides KEY update amid uncertain Bayern future

Manchester United and Liverpool target Ryan Gravenberch has admitted that he ‘doesn’t know what will happen in the next few days’ as the Bayern Munich midfielder continues to be linked with an exit.
Gravenberch, 21, has attracted Premier League interest this summer following reports earlier in the window that Bayern would let him leave if the right offer came in.
Man Utd and Liverpool have been attributed with the highest calibre of interest in the Dutchman as they look for more midfield reinforcements.

Erik ten Hag’s side have added Mason Mount from Chelsea this summer, while Jurgen Klopp has seen Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister walk through the door at Anfield, but neither manager is satisfied with their current options.
FootballTransfers understand that Man Utd are exploring the possibility of signing the Dutchman on loan, with their pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat stalling due to failing to offload Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek.
Gravenberch is seeking a new club in order to maximise his game time ahead of the 2024 European Championships. He was omitted from the Netherlands’ 2022 World Cup squad after barely featuring for Bayern following his move from Ajax, and is aiming to be reinstated for the Euros.

When questioned about a possible move before Deadline Day on Friday, 1 September, Gravenberch replied: “I don‘t know what will happen in the next [few] days,” as per Bild’s Christian Falk.
Gravenberch at Bayern
After selecting to join Bayern on a free transfer last summer, big things were expected of Gravenberch after his rise to fame at Ajax.
But, he managed just three Bundesliga starts all season and the tried-and-trusted partnership of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka was favoured by first Julian Nagelsmann and then Thomas Tuchel.
Furthermore, the free transfer arrival of Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig pushed Gravenberch even further down the pecking order. In addition, Raphael Guerreiro has also joined the club, from Borussia Dortmund, and while primarily a left-back, the Portuguese star can also operate in midfield.
Gravenberch did not feature in the DFL-Super Cup defeat to RB Leipzig or Bayern’s opening day Bundesliga win over Werder Bremen, but did play the final nine minutes in the club’s 3-1 victory against Augsburg on Sunday.
