Mo Salah to Saudi Arabia: the latest
Mohamed Salah has been linked with a sensational move to Saudi Arabia from Liverpool, but it would appear the Egyptian King has no intention of going anywhere.
Salah's Liverpool teammates Roberto Firmino, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have already left for the Saudi Pro League, joining Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ettifaq respectively, the latter of which are managed by Reds legend Steven Gerrard.
Salah had been tipped to join them with Al-Ittihad reported to have put together a package which would see Liverpool receive €60 million and the player a salary of €1.75m per week, but Salah's agent Ramy Abbas has shot down any such suggestions.

"If we considered leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn't have renewed the contract at the club last summer," he said, as reported by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano. "Mohamed remains committed to Liverpool."

Salah under lock and key
Salah signed a new three-year contract last July and is the highest paid player at Anfield on £18.2m a year before tax. Liverpool might have been loath to accept €60m for a player with an ETV of €85.m per FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm anyway.
With four of the Saudi Pro League's clubs backed by the gulf state's Public Investment Fund (PIF), they have the means to increase their bid significantly, but Gerrard says his side won't be making a move for the winger.

"Haha, no, the answer's 'no'," Gerrard said when asked by Saudi media if he would move for Salah. "Because Mohamed Salah is my favourite player, I love Liverpool Football Club, so Mohamed can stay where he is.
"When he wins more leagues and Champions Leagues with Liverpool, we'll maybe consider it."
Salah has hit 186 goals and 79 assists in 305 games since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, winning the Champions League in 2019 and Premier League in 2020 along the way, and he looks set to plunder more for now.
