Antonio, the club’s record goalscorer in the Premier League, believes he will be relegated to the bench because of Moyes’ preference to play with one target man.

The striker currently has a number of proposals to consider, with clubs in the Scottish Premiership also thought be be interested in the striker.

West Ham went top of the Premier League table after a 3-1 win over Brighton on Saturday. The striker netted the Hammers’ third goal of the game as they eased their way to all three points.

Indeed, West Ham are in the market for another striker, leaving some doubt over the future of Antonio. The attacker has played 279 games in total for his current side, netting 77 goals in that time.

“I remember three years ago before we got in Europe and we were in Scotland for pre-season, and I said to the players about getting into Europe. That was our goal. I’ve told them we need to challenge the top teams this year, so we’ll see what we can do.”
