‘Arsenal star wants January transfer’
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale will want to leave the Emirates Stadium during the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher.
FootballTransfers exclusively revealed at the start of August that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta intended to sign goalkeeper David Raya to become his new No.1 and that has come to pass, with the on-loan Brentford shot-stopper taking the role.
Raya moved to cement his place as the Gunners’ shot-stopper with a solid performance against Tottenham in Sunday’s 2-2 draw, notably making a breathtaking stop from Son Heung-min that Ramsdale was pictured applauding on the bench.

Carragher now says that the writing is on the wall for the former Bournemouth man.
“I think he will be thinking of a transfer in January. If he had a chance to go to a decent club in January and Arsenal were happy with that then he will,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“He's not done badly at Arsenal, and better than a lot of people thought he would. Arsenal might think they could get a few quid for him as well.

“You never have two keepers at the same level at a club. Normally when that happens it's because both of them aren't good enough.
“I really admire Arteta for doing it as he's really ruthless. Ramsdale finished Bernd Leno, and I now don't see Ramsdale getting back into the team now.
“Raya is the No.1 and so if he could get out in January and Arsenal get a good fee, I think it could possibly happen.”
Ramsdale's Arsenal record
Ramsdale has played 83 times for Arsenal since arriving for €28 million in 2021.
He had featured in the first four Premier League matches of this season but has lost his place to Raya since the international break.
During his time at Arsenal, Ramsdale’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has risen from €28m to €38m.
