Romano reveals LATEST Arsenal transfer as Arteta seals ANOTHER move
Arsenal have secured the sale of yet another young talent, according to Fabrizio Romano, who has reported that Tim Akinola is set to be unveiled as an Al-Bidda SC player.
The Qatari second division side have agreed a permanent deal to sign the 22-year-old after Arsenal gave the green light for Akinola to leave the club. He has reportedly already signed a three-year contract at Al-Bidda.
Akinola joined Arsenal on a free transfer from Huddersfield’s academy in 2020 and he spent last season on loan at National League side Chesterfield. He made 31 appearances for the side, although he failed to register a goal or an assist.

The 22-year-old midfielder has played a total of 43 games for Arsenal’s U21 side, scoring once and providing two assists during that time.
However, he is now set to leave the Gunners having never appeared for the senior side. Akinola will become Al-Bidda’s first signing of the summer.
Al-Bidda finished bottom of the second division in Qatar last season with just 10 points; however, they remain in the second tier for the 2023-24 campaign.

Arsenal’s recent sales
Akinola is not the only Arsenal player to have secured a move away since the Premier League transfer window closed.
Fellow youngster Marcelo Flores has joined Liga MX giants Tigres on a permanent deal, while Nicolas Pepe has signed for Trabzonspor permanently on a one-year contract.
Flores, 19, spent last season on loan at Real Oviedo, for whom he made 15 appearances for. He also has three senior Mexico caps.
As for Pepe, he has secured a move to Turkey after a loan spell back to Ligue 1 with OGC Nice in 2022-23. The Ivorian, who is now 28 years old, made 28 appearances in all competitions for Nice last campaign, scoring eight goals and providing one assist.
